Hi all - I'm wondering if this is a fake? Materials all look new, especially the solder. The prongs are cut in opposing directions; and the catch is the easily made punched-from-the-buckle-body style..All opinions welcomed. - Bob

Bob,
A reproduction for shure: The 3 solder spots are the definitive give-away here. BTW, while period (i.e. up to 1918) buckles have a brass bar and prongs, Imperial-style buckles were still being produced in the Weimar era, and these can have the later-style prong assembly as well.

Bob, was this sold out Calagary way?
If so, this came from the Oshawa area in a load of repros (sold as repros) bought by a dealer out your way..
