Interior is done in a tasteful rust oilcloth and stunning gold leaf embellishment.

rev, I am questioning the blue inliner, sweatband and visor. I assume you where getting burned and hope you didn't loose to much money.

can you please explain me why lining/sweatband/visor doesn't work? the visor is already seen vulcan fiber with brown-red matte underside and sweatband is normal leather. the wool is old and stiff and insignias are heavy weight polished metal I don't know if backmarked or not). I also know that a blue lining is a little odd, but only absence of textbook pictures doesn't really mean it's a fake at all. isn't?

seen many types and styles of black visors over 2 decades of collecting gives me this explanation I stated above. Not sure what you expect to hear, example for a put together or complete copy visor. Josias visor is a one viewer where no questions are coming up, maybe take this one to compare. By the way you will find original and copy items in books, the absence in books doesn't mean fake nor original.
amen from my side

THE MORE ONE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN ABOUT AN OBJECT, THE LESS YOU SHOULD WANT TO OWN IT. THIS CAP IS A PRIME EXAMPLE. IF YOU WISH TO IGNORE THE CONSTRUCTIVE ADVICE OF SEASONED COLLECTORS, THAT IS YOUR PREROGATIVE.

gentlemen, please...I surely don't wish to ignore your opinions (if not I wouldn't post it here), but I wish to know why you state this as a fake. I am not a neewbie in collecting visor caps and uniforms, I do it from almost 15 years. I started get interested in A-SS stuff just since 2006, so I deserve to know really why you judge this cap a fake, form me shall be a good one. that's all. I don't "need to explain" as I've read and I am surely not defending it at all, I am just a collector explaining my point of view. If you want people which sais "ok" to your every statement, is another problem...I shall be in the wrong place. real wise and experienced comments shall explain me WHY a piece is be considered fake (for exemple specific material, already known fakes or so), that's all.
robert, you wrote lining (and I may understand), sweatband (why?) and visor... here is an example of the same visor from a friend's surely original item:

Rev Stone,,, We dont mean to be ganging up on you regarding your items but look at the following images of my early caps and if you see/dont see anything other that whats there in generalisimo then it would have been put together from various caps old and new, banshutz, railway police, even civilian caps just add that bit of white piping and away you go,the above type of caps mentioned and more have all been known to have been reworked,,,,
