Thanks Hans, Pat & JC for the comments ! The grip is exremely dark purple almost black in color, and IMO it�s got a lot of character

I was under the impression that only klass had the black grip. Is that incorrect?

Bob, I believe this has become very dark purple in color, almost black in some light angels over time due to light exposure and probably been white from the begining ! Not as the Klaas funeral daggers most likely white painted over black grips that worn off during time. So I am very comfortable with this beauty Cheers, Hakan
