Nice guess LH

My favorite army maker is emil voos but this pack makes me think.
1.Early pack slant grip-maker mark close to reverse crossguard refer to the picture that i found on the forum of Janos's Early pack.
2. Early Pack that i have shown here with early fittings and mid period grip, with small Seigfried stamped frather down the blade, also consult Wittmans army book the early pack that he shows is actually one like mine, mid period grip and small sigfried stamped frather down the blade, his has aluminum fittings.
3. Seigfried Pack & Sohn without the large "s"
4. Seigfried Pack & Sohn with the large "s"
So i think you can make a case that Pack & Sohn actually had 4 different trademarks.
I find this quite intriguing, Some of you may say so what but to an army dagger collector this is what we live for.

Roy you gotta love pack-the marks are etched not stamped-are you saying the early marks are different or just positioned different on the blade?

Roy I own 6 Packs four with aluminum hilts you can find the initial Pack mark in various combinations (slant-no slant-aluminum hilt-non aluminum hilt) and positions I will be posting pictures of mine on my web sight in the next month or so. I can tell you Most of the aluminum hilts are not seen with slant grips I have seen a few but the majority are not.

Hi Roy,
what a beautiful dagger!
I have only 2 PAck army daggers. Both of them are very early model, and both have the TM VERY close to the crossguard.
And the Siegfried figures are slightly different: see pic 3.

Congrats, Janos

Note the little differences between the two Sigfried figures. (creasings on the figure's dress, etc.)
