I finally picked up my first SA Dagger, from Paul at Lakesidetrader, and acquired a Gebr Krusius dagger. Overall it is in pretty good condition with pretty good crossgrain, with only a bit of age at the tip, some runner marks and at some point in time some varnish on the handle (mostly left on the crossguard).

I have been searching for a suitable dagger for a few months but am still new to the SA's, is a Gebr Krusius dagger common, rare, or in the middle?

Here are a few pictures!

Dan

Looks like a nice dagger. As for rarity, Krusius is "in the middle". However it has an attractive logo, making it a bit more desirable than a name only maker mark.

Whole dagger is very nice, but blade and crossgraining is stunning. Besides it is cool looking maker's mark. I think I'm not the only one adherent of logos picturing animals.

I would like to thank everyone for the great replies, but I think I have a problem. Bought a Wkc army dagger in December now this one, I think I am addicted.

Great dagger from a great dealer.

You made the right choices.

Now, you are on a slippery slope of more, more, more.

We have all been there (and most of still are).
