just drove out to the country and picked this up from a friends ex-wife,,,she said come and get all his S***T,otherwise she was tossing it all in the can,,,this was among other items but looks good to me and was the best of what she was disposing of,,bless her heart

the fact the helmet has been repainted and the decal placed over it dosnt help, also the border is way to thick,{not always so though} easy test is to run your finger over the decal with your eyes closed, if you can feel it , its usually a bad un

I remember this helmet from years ago. I think I know who's collection it came from. And I know it's real. Is this helmet up for offers? Not to go against everybody else but I can't see anything wrong with this one.

Can we see the other side of the helmet?

I have some doubts, but it does look like a decent one for display. I do think the decal is bad and yes, the helmet appears to have been repainted - but when?

Has the helmet been repainted? Can we get a straight shot of the decal?

Here are some thoughts... I do not like the look of the decal from the pictures, but it can be the camera angle light etc. The decal does have a "Champagne" SS look but with the current photo it is hard to tell. Ot would be very uncommon but not unheard of to have a "Champagne" decal on a Quist especially a reissue or field paint.
