I have seen some Dolch (Dagger) blades with this mark and was not sure if it was WW1 or later.
German Tool and Blade Makers, 1850-2000, by John Walter (2012):
"D.O.V. (possibly registered in 1912, and again in the 1920s): Deutsche Offizier Verein, Berlin and Berlin-Charlottenburg. Registry class: 42? Style: block. Associated with edged weapons and military accoutrements."

The D. O. V. BERLIN (Dolch) example shown just sold on the popular auction site, Jan. 20, 2024, for $127.50 and has a weak "D. O. V." over "BERLIN" mark on the tang.
On another site one was listed as overall length 13 1/2" and blade length 8 1/4".

well known mark and is quite common on Imperial German edged dress weapons..

I found a German sword for sale on the popular auction site with Deutscher Offizier Verein, Berlin on the blade tang and the other side was a W K & C mark on the blade tang. (shown below).
I have also seen another sword with the same Deutscher Offizier Verein, Berlin = W K & C & marks.
I have also found an image of a vaulted WW1 Iron Cross 1st class, screw back with 4, 6-pointed stars said to be a mark of Deutscher Offizier Verein, Berlin.
There are also membership documents, membership medals and even cigar boxes with Deutscher Offizier Verein, Berlin.

I found an image of a probably 1889 model, German sword on the popular action site with "Deutscher Offizier Verein, Berlin" on the tang and on the other side of tang, maker's mark, "A (balanced scales) C", the mark of Alexander Coppel.

The D. O. V. BERLIN mark is listed on page 79, "German Knife and Sword makers 1850-1945" by J. Anthony Carter (2015 edition revised and enlarged by John Walter & Henning Ritter).
See "Armee-und Marinehaus" on page 79 and note: "The D. O. V. mark above BERLIN has been recorded on several good-quality knives."
