Take care! These seals are faked for quite a time. They are offered at auction sites for prices of "common" originals. Now even "blancs" are offered for 1 EUR(!!!). The inserts are simply photocopied and crumpled. Naturally I have the real one but discussing and showing here differences would only support the fakers. Be quick and contact a serious collector in your environment who owns the real thing. Once you have seen the real thing it is relatively easy to see and remind the important differences. Honestly I fear that the fakers will improve their work... Regards

Yes, these have been around for years now.
Quite logic that they are faked, if you see what people are ready to pay for them... And very easy to fabricate, compared to a complete dagger!
Here is another fake one: married to a nice late HJ-knife, this got sold for 2,5k US$!

Hello Hermann V., up to now I have not seen such a crimped EICKHORN seal. They are for sure not so easy to produce. Also this multiple color string would be hard to find. Can you please show a better pic of it?
Would also be interesting if the string of the fakes does glow or not.

Hello Wotan,
I am a bid careful to post clear pictures of this very rare and early Eickhorn tag, for obvious reasons.
So far, It have only seen 2 of these.
I never cared to collect any tags, but as this early HJ-knife came with it, I had to leave them together.
This tag has been inspected and approved by a tag specialist, who wrote and published in the main militaria magazine about the subject.
Best regards,
Herman

As you can see by the leather hanger's shape: this HJ-knife was never worn.
