Hello, I just picked up this NSKK side cap. What do the colors on the patch mean? I have seen green,blue,brown,yellow.ETC. Mine is brown and the cap color is Black. Pix to follow.

The background color of the patch identifies the location of the unit based on the location chart used by the SA. Note that each color refers to two different locations, one using silver buttons, the second using gold buttons. Brown would be Westmark for silver and Niedersachsen for gold.
