Hello guys this forum has existed since 2000 when did the current crop of excellent quality fakes start appearing that would fool seasoned collectors or at least require serious examination? I have examples of obvious fakes that would fool novice and uneducated collectors or anyone that had not read Graig or Don's books or current excellent reference when did the rings of proper size and detail, with separate skull and proper seam first appear on the collectors' market? 1970s, 1980s, 1990s or after 2000 ??? I bought a very good copy ,,with separate skull, hand engraved inner band etc. in the mid 1990s in Ukraine. A member here bought it .

The forum was here way before 2000!. We had at least one if not 2 'purges of back pages of all the forums.. We had all the pages of when Bob H. and Gary were here , then Tony Bartow... Jpic did his first of real vs fake SS officers arm eagles! We had many pages of when Bill Stump was Mod on the medals/badges forum then our British friend Prosper K.!! JR did his first work/showing about the nazi Train Eagles that was really needed......
- We had Beer Mug forums, Flag forums etc. all here but now all gone in some sort of limbo Vern Said..


.. On the HRs,,,,The first of what I called SuperFakes were out of Japan! IF you try and search's you might find something on them or a website.. Peichel made some terrible reproductions,,,but he also made a few very nice copies. Why? ,,don't know..
