The Army trademark below was shown on WAF, where the consensus was that it was a fake. If so, I wanted to post a warning here.

There are already 5 known and accepted Emil Voos Army trademarks, but this one is unusual in that it has diamonds and darts between the ovals. So ... Has anyone here seen this trademark ? When or where ?

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

Aside from the minute differences you mentioned within the ovals, what bugs me is the abbreviation E.V.S. standing for Emil Voos Solingen. Why then would the location of Solingen be gratuitously added again on the bottom?

This is not a Voos logo I was familiar with before a week ago. Definitely something all of us should be aware of, although my guess is the devoted Army guys knew what a good one was. Accepted logos with the stars should be seated in appropriate early fittings, a caution to anyone finding an orphan blade with this questionable logo thrown into available parts.

My guess as far as a timeline for these blades would be recent since their proliferation doesn’t seem to be overwhelming.

Hey Bret,

Must be my OCD acting up! Yeah, I see that the logos had both Emil Voos and EVS. I’ve seen so many of those modern Voos logos like the ones on the HJ Olympic knives so I’m over cautious.

You got that right, Billy.
