Ryan, there is a guy on Gunbroker that always has Repo Medals. If you go to WW1` and WW11 Militaria and type in Repo in the search, I would think they would come up. Ed

It will be interesting to see how they compare. Please do show them when they arrive.
I have toyed with the thought of a museum grade Pour le Mérite (Blue Max) as there is no way I could afford an original.

If you are looking for Combat Badges, such as PAB or IAB...some of manufacturers of wartime badges continued producing Post War.
Souval and S&L are two such makers and you can find these for about the same price as some current better made fakes. Myself, I would use one of these on an original tunic as they have the "look" of an original and can be found for $50.00 - $100.00
Here is a Post War made IAB from Steinhauer & Luck from my collection.
Best Regards, fischer

Also, you mentioned the badges from ATF. Here is one of the IAB's they sell for around $20.00 from my fake collection.
It is patterned after the ShuCo IAB examples and made for the reenactor guys. Myself, I would pass on these as they look rather comical when compared to originals.

For discussion purposes, here is the Post War Souval with the indicative Claw catch.
You can find these rather easily on eBay sometimes sold as original.

--dj--joe I agree Joe and quality-wise, it surpasses most of the wartime originals. Cheers!
