For the first time I meet such a maker mark with a round three. Is everything all right with this dagger?

Yes, Vik,

Great dagger with just enough traces of wear/use. Hanger looks good too.

Thanks Dave
Usually Robebt Klaas used a different maker mark for the year 38 without a round three. This alerted me.

Vik,

Killer piece, that one !

Klass used that format for 1938, 1939, and 1940

Thanks for showing us

Dave

Other makers besides Klaas used round 3's. Eickhorn used round 3's in several different formats. I'm not passing judgement on the OP dagger above, because it looks good to me. That being said I have seen 1051's that had round 3's and appear fake to me. They usually look artificially aged and the markings are too close to the crossguard.
