not being a blade guy,,,a beginners question:

- Isn't a NSKK a SA dagger in a black scabbard?

This one on my monitor,,the fittings look like they had a light gold tone to them applied [?]

The fittings are gold plated, the scabbard is a very dark brown.

Interesting to see that even the zinc parts were gilded!

But I don't think that this grip was original to the dagger.

If this is supposed to be an RZM inspected dagger..its not looking so well.

The grip was added as seen with a very poor upper guard fit ..the lower guard not looking to well either...and the blade shoulders to the lower guard has a huge gap.
I understand that alot of these late produced RZM daggers were shoved out the door ...but the crossguards or grip doesnt even match the fit.
