The dagger is not mine, the owner asked me to discuss the dagger here. The dagger was really bought and is in Russia

TiRex,
Help us understand who is the owner ... Mr. Bruchaimer ? Or did he sell it ? And what is your position ?

TiRex,
Help us understand who is the owner ... Mr. Bruchaimer ? Or did he sell it ? And what is your position ? Ok, Dave, if it's necessary, I'll explain. Bruchaimer bought the dagger a few months ago, now he decided to discuss it on the forums. He asked me to post a dagger on the GDC, that's all

So the dagger is now in Russia, but he is not available to post photos of his own dagger ?

So, if opinions on this dagger have not changed with the new photos, then there is nothing more to find out. Who is the owner and who posted the photo, all this does not affect the originality of this dagger.

No, TiRex, the photos are not new, just rotated and contrast altered . And, the dagger is still bad.
But there are still other forums you could try.

Yes. There were a big bunch of photos but not a good reception over there.
I think the same guy, under the name "TiRex" posted a few here, but they were darkened or rotated or contrast adjusted to make them appear to be a different dagger.
That blade has been monkeyed with but I am not sure exactly how. Take a look on the first page or on WAF and tells us who you see.

Well, we do know it is the same dagger, rotated and/or adjusted photos. Are there going to be any comments on about what makes it no good?

Dave Ha ha, Dave, it's a detective story. The matter is exactly as I said. I am not the owner of this dagger. No one was going to sell a copy to anyone. The main goal of the owner is to determine the originality of the dagger, so after the purchase he had doubts. Those photos on WAF were from the seller. The owner then took the photo himself, but for some reason you gentlemen considered this to be some kind of fraud

You probably got suspicious that Bruchaimer indicated that he was from the USA, but in fact he is from Russia. Apparently he thought that this way he would get answers to the question faster. Oh yes, that seems to be a grave sin. I'll tell him not to do that again.

And yes, the dagger was returned to the seller. Thank you gentlemen for your help. Before buying, they asked me for opinions on the dagger and I didn’t like it at first, but then I convinced myself that I probably hadn’t seen all the ss chicken daggers yet Conclusion, you need to trust your initial instinct more

Ed,
Not much to see here because of limited pics. What I said was:
Grip - Notice the disturbance in the wood around both the eagle and rune. = faked or fiddled with.
Blade - Too bright + too crisp + too precise and even = Laser
Blade - Scratchy uneven crossgrain = rework or fake
Scabbard - severely rusted shell and severely cleaned fittings = real but very poor shape

The logo and motto look lasered to me, the preciseness of the lines is too severe for acid etching IMO. The other parts could be period but I don’t think it matters much either way. The piece has been constructed to deceive and any further qualification given on it can only assist those who make these things.

I have been keeping an eye on a number of these blades hitting various European websites, such as Egun, there are significant numbers being posted as either stand alone blades or as whole daggers. Additional makers that are coming through also include Josef Wolf and Jacobs and Co. I will grab some photos but mindful we don't want to show fraudsters how to improve these...

I have seen i.e. this one on egun circa half year ago. Saved the pics to my gallery of fakes.

sorry to be so slow but what/where is Egun? It’s a German site that lists some of the worst fakes out there. There are occasionally legit pieces but it’s really caveat emptor.

The last chicken dagger (a couple of posts earlier) wouldn't fool anyone.
Thanks!
