Large saufanger, blade marked Gebr. Maurer Wien. Metal fittings on sheath and knife guard have some type of casehardening. Small knife for sheath is missing. Stag hanldle. Apparently Gebr. Maurer was located in Wien, Austria. They were noted as a high end retailer of firearms pre-1900. Any information on this knife or Gebr. Maurer would be appreciated.

Not much else I can add to your description, a nice heavy Saufaenger, the scabbard fittings look to be case hardened which is always nice to see, shame about the missing skinning knife but it's rare to see in one of these nowadays.
