Surprise!!! nothing here!!! , YET.. Thats because we're leaving tomorrow!!

Say a little prayer my camera works ok. IF it does I'll get you guys the fabulous photos I get every year of the show.. 1000 tables [I think] of mainly WWII militaria both Allied and Axis! Almost every insignia, medals, badges, equipment, paper, daggers, and sometimes a ring or 2... So look next week and hopefully you'll see the stuff of collectors dreams!!

Lots of cool stuff, Gaspare. Love those belt buckles.

I wonder what percentage of all this stuff is fake. The helmets for example.

Interesting that you didn't post any photos of rings. They have been disappearing for a few years now. The real ones anyway...

Looks like you're having a good time though.

Stephen,,, well everything has a return policy while at the show... I'd say more real than fakes with most categories... Ring? They are coming!

Some more cool stuff, crowds, tables, items... Considering it is a smaller show [ size, tables, etc] I think around 900 tables[?] but for a new show and its size it was good. Most dealers and buyers I spoke to had a good time and made money and picked up some good pieces..

Herman Goring Div Luftwaffe Rank ring,,can't really tell from photo but enamel had lots of cracks but all there,,,,expensive,, but sold quickly..

Lady with MGs,,very nice, and had a great candy bowl for us weary buyers!

,, There was a dealer from Spain there.. I picked up some items. I am low on Legion Condor / Spanish civil war...

I picked this up,,,This is a 'drape' . Has a pin at each end. Could be worn by a man or woman.. Good workmanship..

- I recognize the 2 Spanish flags, and the Italian, and of course the Swastika,,,,but what is that other one?? - - - small,, Green & Red at right ends of photo.

Man those dark red griped Heer's are nice.
That dark blood red has been showing up more often now a days, makes one wonder where they have all been,
The exposure to sunlight idea makes me wonder how the rest of the dagger seems to be so protected.
still nice. Thanks for the picks,
Ed

Vern, much thanks!! Ed,,those daggers have been squirreled away for many years.. There was another , same guy bought all 4. One was to an oak leafs winner,,,2 had research doe on them. and I think at least 2 had the owners initials on the cross guards.

Some more shots of the show:

_ , * check out the spray paint..Only 3 shown,,,but there was a few more...- Want to repro up a helmet, or piece of equipment,,,there's the correct paint for it!!, just apply some aging and you have a good fake!

As far as rings... US rings especially enamels were bringing in very good prices..

WW1 rings [German] continue to be not as popular and prices still on the fair side..

WWII rings were in short supply and were expensive. There wasn't the hoard/onslaught of fakes thats usually seen. Sure fakes but not as many seen..
- Honor Rings,, few and far between. Think I saw around 6 that I'd say were good..

Don Boyle did not have a table, was a walker on the hunt but says hello to all his old fans.. I asked him about the new HR book from Antonio.. I got a 'no comment'...

I also picked up this beauty.. I have this parren in decent condition and dug condition.. But this is one of the best condition Skull & Rivet rings I now own! Just a trace of the messing seen towards rear of band and a few tiny spots. The photos don't do it justice... A keeper for me..

more later....

Gaspare thank you for your report . The ring is in very good condition which is rare for these type of rings. I have the same ring, but in more worn condition.

Thank you guys.. Wish we all could have been there.. Its really like a museum that you can buy from.. Over 900 tables,,I only saw about 3/4 of the show! - * This photo is just a small part of one corner of the show!!

Going to start a new topic with the rings I got there:

SOS in Kentucky is the next show. A lot bigger than the MAX believe it or not.. I don't go anymore but IF any of you have the opportunity you should go!

- I'll be at the next MAX. It's close for me and will get bigger each year...

Member Ryan S. posted more photos of the show to check out. On this link:

Some day I would like to make one of these shows but would probably need weeks to get around as my mobility is not good these days.
I should put my ring history in a display format. maybe some one would like to see. Market Garden started 17 September so it was my annual review of it. Ron
