Recently on a couple auctions I've seen this pattern Norge ring. The cartouche [front design] was perfect! Very one dimensional looking. Flat, perfect... Period enamel rings had a space for the enamel paste to be put in and fired. When done it got burnished was even and looked good. These fakes were too good.. [wish I had took off a photo!]. I would love to do an enamel test on one of these suspected fakes but times to tight to experiment! - * Here's an authentic example. The blue line ,,you can see even from not so good photos it is glassy enamel. The red line shows the depth. The area the paste was put it.. Be very careful when purchasing these rings,,,ALL rings!
