Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been on the forum. I just wanted to show you my ground dug alpacca HJ leaders ring that was posted years ago. its was a good according to gotz (may he rest in peace) and others as well. I noticed that the shoulders of the eagle has more feathers compared to the other HJ leaders ring which has no feathers. I heard gaspare saying thier were two variants of this ring. I attached some photos of mine and another HJ ring from my friend which has the plain shoulders. what do you guys think? it's the other variant like gaspare says there is. I'd like to hear from gaspare if possible too. hope you're all doing well!

We have not seen much of HJ leaders rings here, so there is a lot to be learned.

Todd,,[,I have a bad habit of calling it silver,,it is not. Its a weird alloy with a wash/plating.]...
if I remember correctly that ring has the 'proper' inside marking. Looks fine from the photos,,,so if it is marked inside your fine... In the last 4, 5 years a lot has come out on this pattern ring..
The real hard thing is to find is the doc.. So far I've only seen 2..

hi gaspare
thanks for your information. I remember you saying there was a rarer version of the HJ ring that had more feathering. I was just wondering if this Is the rarer version? heres some photos of the Ges ges B.v.A marking compared to others. mine is the worn first picture. the other two are confirmed good rings.

Whats been seen is mint rings have a sort of scalloping on the wings and some that don't..
- also if you look closely at the wreath around the swas. the left & right,,some have 3 straight bands and some have slanted 3 bands.. We also know the slanted wreath band version the hammer and sword are more pronounced as the other version..
ALL must have the proper marking in band.. To make matters worse is that for a long time copies of the both variations have been copied.
