Hi all, Thought I would post this here for those interested, a very nice original Totenkopfring to SS Ostubaf. Alfred Graf, who was part of 21. Waffen-Gebirgs-Division of the SS "Skanderbeg“ and later commander or Kampfgruppe Skanderbeg. The Skanderbeg division was made up of Albanian SS volunteers and was part of SS Mountain Division Handschar. The division was responsible for many war crimes during the war. Graf's other items including his Degen and medals and documents are also up for auction. It is a very nice original ring with great history to interesting officer in a infamous division. https://www.ratisbons.com/45th-cont...-honor-ring.html?searchterm=Honor%20ringBest regards, Sarcasmos

Yes it does, here is from Dienstalterliste SS 1935, showing he was awarded ring in 1934. Also note extremely low SS num. 1969
Best, Sarcasmos

Just as update, the ring was sold for 10.500.- EUR + 22,5%, therefore for 12.862,5 EUR. Imho a nice price for this well worn but early ring. Regards,

Ron I know nothing about rings, every one is into something different. I have daggers and a few badges and medals, and misc. If I were to let go of that kind of money, it would be old Colt single actions or Winchesters/Marlins, more my line of knowledge for investing, and a larger field of potential buyers. But I hope to walk the SOS this year looking for finds. Ed

They take a special collector to appreciate them. For me, it is the history.

I know what you mean. It was the aircraft that really got me into WWII collecting. The history of those fly boys as they were called is just mind boggling to me. I have many books on the aircraft and there pilots, it's too much to comprehend really, what they did. I could walk around the SOS for months. Have a great Turkey day Ed
