First TR sword I have come across with a etched blade. I'm not sure what pattern this Weyersberg is it's not in any of my books. And the figures on the blade appear to be Imperial. The blade looks original to the hilt and to me never has been removed or replaced.

Last pic, The blade has no nicks or dings and is 33.5 inches. The grip has no cracks and the triple wire wrap is tight. The scabbard is straight and has no dents.

Dow,
I don't know the model number for your Heer sword but it has a typical Weyersberg hilt. The pommel and backstrap are standard Weyersberg fare but I usually see the spread wing eagle on the guard. The blade also has a typical fussy generic etch that I would expect to see on a Weyersberg. It looks perfectly OK and unmessed with to me.
Nice sword!

I agree, very nice sword. Even if the etch is Imperial, from what I understand it wasnt that uncommon for a sword blade from earlier to be re-hilted to a 3rd reich one.

Dow, Nice saber. Does the scabbard have the single or the double hanger rings?

Thanks for the replies the Weyersburg has the later style scabbard with a single ring.
