After the successful German invasion of Norway in 1940, a cottage industry grew up making souvenir items for the occupying troops.
One such was the creation of commemorative rings by the various jewelers across Norway.
This is my most recent arrival and is the result of a tip from Gaspare, who has helped me find many such items.
It is a Norwegen 1940 Luftwaffe ring with a festive motif, wreath and candle.
I also have two other Norwegen 1940 Luftwaffe rings with a flag, the difference between these two is in the border around the eagle/flag.

John,,, found this photo in my files.... A one piece ring. Looks like it might be authentic.. There is a extrem lack of detail compared to yours,,,and looks like it never had any! Whatever it is I'd rather have yours any day.

John,
Phenomenal rings. I've always wanted to collect these, but they've terrified me, like a lot of non-insignia silver...never know what to look for, or what's fantasy...but this serves as a good reference!

Brig,
You can always count on help and advice from Gaspare and the members of this forum. I know that I do.
Good to hear from you. There aren't a lot of Norway collectors here on GDC.

Not quite a new ring, but an addition to my Banak ring previously shown...a Banak pin.

JohnZ, you have an impressive collection here. The pictures are well done.
I presume that the ring with the sinking ship is from a destroyer unit; I've never seen this one before . Thanks for posting

John,,, now you just need the Banak ring award doc! The rings are hard to find the last few years.. The stic pin even harder!! [in good shape too] , the award doc probably the hardest!.. John you now probably have one of the best Nordic ring collections among your other fabulous pieces.. The Norsk Tysk Selkaps pin again hard to find pin.. Looks like they took all the finish off the pin before they soldered[?] it on... 2 Great finds,,,Congrats!
