Dear Friends
This Hörster came across this week
please habe a Look , i really love this condition near Mint.
but i see a red flag , the crossguard looks replaced ... swastikas Looks courios perhaps a Parts dagger
the edges are round and not Sharp from the crossguard
opinions welcome and helpfull

Hello charly239, first let me welcome you in the forum and your first posting!
As far as I can see in the pics it looks to me like a legit period 1st mod LW dagger. I cannot see anything wrong and also the crossguard (with it´s swaz) does not look faked to me. Sometimes those slightly odd looking swaz in the crossguard do appear.
Also the casting imperfection you do show in pic 6F5FE8B2-AFC2-41C9-BFFC-2AF3965307A6.jpeg does occour from time to time as aluminum was not an easy material to cast.
When the mongram has been engraved we will never know for sure.
