These are the rings of my friend who tragically passed about 6 weeks ago. Steve was a lifetime collector. It was his true passion- he was a good friend to me and to all who knew him. The last 2 swastika dak rings I have for sale on the estand were his. The earlier offers of DAKs are mine but are reasonably priced. The money from his estate sale goes 100% to his widow who I met in person for the first time yesterday. I sat with her for over 6 hours and we moved packed unpacked organized so many of the things he had to just get out of the house. She is overwhelmed and is relying on me to help. The result of the sale goes again to her to pay for the costs of his funeral. Any else will be left to her and his children and 7 grandchildren. Please members if you take nothing else from this- make sure to the best of your ability to have your house in order for when your time comes. And please make sure your life insurance policy is up to date or current. This was especially hard to hear yesterday because of the underlying avoidable condition that could have been prevented by going to a doctor routinely and being honest with ones health history- simple pre made plans for estates prevent the unnecessary grief that can follow when they are not met. And insurance companies are interested in the bottom line only. Inadequacies or inaccuracies mean you get nothing. So- If you see a ring or rings you like please pm or email and we can arrange a price. She receives 100% of the ring sale. She is also aware of current and declining values but please no ridiculous low balls. Any or all can be sold. Good deals can definitely be made however and she is happy to see them go for fair offers to others who appreciate them as he did.

I will get a picture of the case top- it has the name of the company that makes it. They are heavy duty cases. I remember Steve always told me I should buy one from the manufacturer who makes it. Last two on the bottom row or the top?

Here is the case top. The company name is vaultz. I believe they were cases that were not originally for rings so he took out the inside it came with and fit it with ring seats. These are the 2 rings- the Italian made DAK is gold and 800 silver hallmarked to I believe 14-fasces-MI in the lozenge. That maker is Enrico Locatelli of Milan. The ring has a neat elongated and center peaked cartouche. It is a tad over a size 10. Nice proper vent holes to allow the gas to escape when silver soldering the cartouche to the ring base. Next is a ring he found deeply blackened in patina at a local flea market near us. It is a propeller with a split band and I believe the French boar head hallmark upon the rear outer band. Inside is engraved with the word Frankreich - appearing to be misspelled as Frankreick but could be engraving error 1941. Is approximately 9.5 size.

Mike,,, thats a great thing your doing to help the family. They are in tough times now mourning, trying to holds things together, etc..

- God bless you Mike..

I would suggest if any rings interest anyone that you make a copy, [maybe crop photo], and at least circle ring interested in to avoid confusion....

Mike thanks again for posting..

Prices by line. Rings are going quickly- cannot guarantee holds over offers on the lots! GDC gets first dibs. Posting elsewhere later today.

A Unit type ring,,,Pz.Rgt.31 ?? The Paratroops used Devils,, Stg.Brig.209,, Marine Flak802, , 9/SS Pz.Abt.102[502],,,all shown in link here.

You know in the over 20 years here I have never had the search function work for me,,or anything. Even when I look up 'more posts' by Gaspare nothing shows up.... So maybe it will work for you guys. try Unit rings, division / divisional rings etc. and hopefully it will turn up...

yes search function not so good , I get around it by doing a google search , with the start of the forum domain in one word , and second word being what you looking for
Example below

germandaggers devil

Usually brings up topic in first google result
This method works due to google bots trawling forum

Many rings have been claimed or sold; if you are looking for that perfect time or piece you have always wanted this is the time. It likely will not be until another one of us passed on that this happens again.
