On a recent auction.. Well, looks like a old blank maybe.. IF,,if a $50. ring it might be something to hold on to as an oddity! Something like this to be taken seriously would need a 'photo in wear',,or part of a German vets grouping somehow describing the ring,,or a period receipt from a jeweler describing the ring..

I kinda like it, Gaspare. Unusual to say the least. Real? Who knows. There are so many apparently one-off SS rings. I have a few myself. More often than not, expensive, no provenance, no period pics or any other proof of authenticity. It is easy to convince yourself that, if a ring is unique (ooh, never seen that pattern before!) and looks genuinely old, it might be the real deal. Faith is not much to go on I guess but sometimes it is all we have. And that is usually how I get burned! Cheers, Stephen
