I have never read about or heard of a scenario where an SA dagger left the factory without a makers mark. Nor an NSKK or NPEA dagger.

The Model 1936 SS daggers were made without a maker's mark. Very occasionally a dedicated or presented SA/SS dagger was made with the trademark on the same side as the motto, but that is it.

I have seen a few SA's without a makers mark but they were all Eickhorns where the motto placement says they were Rohm daggers with the trademark expertly ground off.

Tom Whittman verified for me that there was one maker that did not make a mark on the reverse of their SAs at least some of the time.
I can't find the thread on it but he (Tom) told me that the crossguards were a little fatter and the arc between the tips was slightly flatter.
I have one that was a woodwork buy from 45 years ago.
Don't have a pic of it as it's packed away. Here's a pic from an earlier thread that I had saved (this is not the one I own).
The arc difference is subtle but obvious once you look for it. (
