Well, it has come and gone, and almost nothing said about the biggest military show in the world. What does that show???
Just seems strange to me.
Did anyone go? Have any feedback? Pictures? Anything??

I agree, Ed.

Anyone see or buy anything cool?

Anyone take pictures?

Judy and I did not get rooms this year, so we did not make it.
Usually stayed at the Comfort Inn right on Phillips Lane for years. Last year they wanted like $120 a nite. We had always booked early at $80.
We ended up trying the Roadway Inn. BIG MISTAKE! Just a little better than sleeping outside. Never again.
Hope to find a better rate for the 2021 show.
This year will be just the Ohio show in June.
Things change, just have to bear with it.
But it is getting tough on my petty budget.
Hope to see some pictures
Ed

IF anyone posted any photos you wouldn't be able to tell them from the years before anyway! grin

Depends who you talk to I guess. ,,most say things were pretty good and IF you had good skills good prices could be had...

Many can't hit 2 big shows any more. Only the MAX for me. And York PA.!,, lots of vets settled there after the war.. Nice area,,maybe some new vendors.. I'll take plenty of photos wink

Yes that is so true. I'm more disappointed that there was not much chatter about the big show, and no talk after the show.
Most of you guys on here have been collecting this stuff way longer than I have.
I do know that once you reach a point in collecting, everything you want next costs quite a bit. That seems to be my problem.
My problem is, I collect almost everything. Most people tell me my house in a museum. I do have something for everyone.
The Max is way to far for me. Louisville is getting kind of pricey, $500 gust for a motel. This is the first year I missed in about 12.
Hope there were a lot of good finds.

Ed, I hear you The fellows I went with last year who I usually go with , two known dealers decided to fly. The drive is just too long for them after 20 years. I decided to hit the Max this year but hate missing the SOS. cheers, Ryan I concur no buzz or excitement or pre buzz about the show or after so unlike years past on GDC.....the build up to the Max and SOS used to be huge just look at old threads and posts

Tom Wittmann has a You Tube video of over an hour posted and I see Bill Shea says it's the best show he's had in 50 years. I also could not go due to family obligations but plan to go in 2021. Must have been a good one!!

Yes, Tom's video is a nice long one. Wish they got the sound right, could not hear the items discussion at all.
Seems to go to the same old tables too much. Super nice things there, don't get me wrong, but wish he would shake it up once in a while.
Craig, we must be almost neighbors, I'm about a hour from Joplin.

That's good to know, I agree about the same tables as there are almost 2000 of them. Would be nice to see some of the lower priced entry level items for new collectors. There is a lot of interesting TR stuff that is still cheap.

Another thing about Tom's new SOS vidio, a lot of the things he shows on the vidio are now for sale on his site.
Yes, 200 tables, lets get around and see some stuff.
I kind of heard from several people that the shoe was just so-so on finding anything to buy that was affordable.
