Here a Viking brooch from the 30-40 ties ? Silver stamp 830S and marked with the sign of Hestenes from Bergen ( Norway) .
On the backside, the spiral is not part of a spring, but just an nice little ornament.
I hope you have also a brooch to show. I'm looking forward to it . :)

Interesting to see how Viking ships can be depicted in differend ways, Gaspare, First ship is depicted graphical, stylistic . The second and fourth are more naturalistic .
The Norge brooch is lovely.
