The blade of this sword is very bright and is etched on 3 sides. The etches are beautifully executed as expected by the quality sword maker WKC. It is marked with the artillery regiment on the obverse side and riding artillery scene on the reverse side. The soldiers are wearing steel helmets. The applied WKC maker mark confirms that this is a 1930ies made blade: the knight?s helmet with ?WKC? below are stamped into the blade.
Triple etched NCO blades bearing this 1930ies mark are very tough to find.

The hilt and knuckle guard have preserved almost all of their plating and show an intact black celluloid-over-wooden grip. Hilt, grip and blade are all firmly in place.
A part of the green leather from the original portepee remains attached to the hilt.

The scabbard shows a nice anodized surface. It is completely straight and shows few wear.
