hi carpediem my guess is good luck in the japanese army the red felt is being worked over by the moths they have eaten most of the red felt or wool appears they dont like the brown part dirty devils hope im right this is the best i can do at this time happy holidays andy militarynut

It's a scarce Japanese army farrier (made horse shoes etc) patch but in horrible condition! The metal stars & cherry blossoms were post war GI enhancements. You see this type of embellishments from time to time

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah, the condition is poor and that is a shame. Maybe I will run across another and can upgrade.
