July 4th is mid week so it will be interesting how many people are out and about.

yup scary I invited guys over to my place for free drinks cuban cigars and food for show and tell as I did 10 years ago then flooded with responses attendees a FANTASTIC night well reviewed on GDC by all this time post up for over a month reposted NOT ONE contact reply or interested party sad cheers

That sounds like it would have been GREAT. Cubans? Damn!! Of course I live in another country but if I were anywhere local I would be there!!

Or in the same country but 4 hour plane trip away.

WAF seems to be down for the count... same hackers that brought down this website?

Possibly. But as I understand it, there has not been much if any desperately needed internal maintenance and updates done on the website, leaving it vulnerable to many kinds of hackers. Seems that the current owner or owners of waf are not much interested in its day to day operations.

in my personal opinion here on waf site i think that the owners probly have done what they thought would be enough maintenance but not in todays world and sad to say there seems to be so much jeliousy hatred in our hobby all aimed towards us collectors of germans history they are cowards and hide behind thier computers while hacking our sites our history weither it is american or german doesnt matter to these dirt bags /cowards why should we enjoy our past time and these are the same people who they feel that you have more then them well simple solution to this answer get another damm job and be happy leave us alone unless you unvail who you are to us then maybe you wouldnt have a nice day any more hope waf gets this terrible cituation solved hey guys have a great day ps if any one wants to e mail me with asking for any help or sales that i am bringing to this years max show please e mail me at nanny1fl@aol.com thanks god bless andy militarynut

We were 'gone' for a bit a while back.. Shit happens as they say.. Vern does all this for free. I might gripe a little about photo size but I'm happy here. Been here , 15, 18 years? ,,something like that. Vern,,,much thanks for having this place for us . I appreciate it!!

Yeah I haven't been able to get 'on' WAF for like a week... The regulars are crying the blues... Guess they have a right. They paying $35. a year,,there are a few thousand members I heard,,,thats Big money! I remember Prosper went after that years ago.. Just got him banned..

Don't cry guys.. It's a military collecting site for a hobby.. I realize its all some have but come on... Buck up!,,It will be back..


By the way. I told all the guys from the jewelry forum,,, You see info or photos that you like or help you etc.,,copy them as soon as you see them. Maybe one day it'll all be gone!

For a ring forum, I don't think yo can find a better one than we have here. The knowledge base from Gaspare, Mike, Don, Andy, is second to none! These guys go out of there way to educate and teach collectors young and old.

Ron, thanks SO much.. We all try.. It's hard sometimes. We truly have a international membership there. Russia, Netherlands, England, Canada, Italy, Poland, Sweden,Germany, and even New York
With that many different nationalities, personalities we do have the occasional clash.. After a few friendly FUs and its all over and back to rings..

Really Ron,,its guys like you, the membership that makes the forum run. I appreciate all of you guys I really do. Yes, we have the best 3rd reich jewelry forum out there.. And,,its the membership that builds, contributes, makes problems , etc. all that make it function better than the rest. I thank you Ron, and ALL the members of our forum..

Overall,, we have a good site.. Most guys here collect daggers, some sort of blade so those are the big ones with the most movement. But again overall we have a great site going on here,,and thats something we should all thank Vern for!.. Vern,, thanks for making all of this possible...,Gaspare

Glad to make a small contribution to the hobby we all enjoy. The founding idea for this forum was to have a venue for collectors to share information with no hidden motives or agendas. I believe we have maintained that ideal for the past 18 years, and hopefully, we will continue far into the future. Good to hear that the forum is appreciated
