Metal plate with dagger logos, dedications, etc. on one side. On the other side etching logos as would be found on straight razors. Does anyone know what this might used for or the reason it was done?

Hello, when looking at some of the prospective etchings (eg. the mixture of years from 33-42 and the "CURACAO OXYGEN COMPANY:INC etching) I strongly tend to think (for me no question) it is a post 45 fake template...

As I do know where this plate originally came from (who made it) it is too bad that now it has been sold as a original . It seems the seller trolled with it till he found someone who thought it was original...or period...

If you have the least historical knowledge and the least knowledge about IIIR edged weapons and etchings you cannot believe this template to be pre 45. When you do buy this without that least knowledge and without any research imho the fault is also on your side.

Regards,

In 100% agreement it should be obvious IMO to anybody with the least amount of knowledge. Likewise the fakers example here should be obvious that it was done on an old worn out HJ knife instead of using a bare metal plate. Best Regards, Fred

On the plate I also see the incorrect "old German" font-type used on the bogus "SA Standarte 40" Krefeld etched SA-daggers.....
