I have owned this many years and have repeatedly compared it to photos of the few known authentic examples. I cannot say it is original, but can say the front is spot on, when compared to originals. As can be seen in the photos, there are no markings on the reverse. I suppose it could be a "jewelers copy," a store display item, salesman sample or have aother such explanation. It appears to be silver or silver-plate over hard, heavy metal (nickel-silver would be my guess, if hat's the case). There are no nuts or plate for the reverse. A great display item, or, if you are lucky enough to have the evening jacket, this would make a perfect addition to it. Please note the black and white photos are of an original I found online. I pay postage. Insurance extra. US sales only, please. Kindly add 4%, if paying through PayPal. 5 day return. Price: $450.00. clfdr@att.net
