As above both very nice condition which would you buy ? I'm not a sword guy buy both very attractive pieces. The 1st version Lufwaffee has a marking I Flak 6 stamp.

Neither sword is scarce & they are out there so condition has to be a consideration as well as which one you truly prefer. An early nickel Luft sword is really nice, especially if it has a Flak unit marking. Let's see what some other members think.

I would agree with Billy G. on his opinion. They are completely different swords in design and appearance. I would pick the Luftwaffe and start with that one and get the police sword later. Just my opinion.

Likewise, the Luftwaffe sword is my first choice for design and appearance. Most likely based on a Medieval Knight's sword for the newest branch of the German Armed forces, it was the first TR sword I purchased being also impressed with the quality of the early government issue types. Whereas the Degens in my view from a design perspective were more of an modernistic Art Deco version of a very old design for Infantry officers. Best Regards, Fred
