I just received a very nice condition Puma Luft2 with the large cat inside diamond maker mark. I already have this maker mark and thought that this one would be an upgrade, which it is in terms of condition (the blade is in better condition on this new one).
But, I noticed that the scabbard on the new one has a different finish from my old one (not to mention that the mounts on the old one look like aluminium versus the pot metal of the old one). The old scabbard looks like a gold brown colour compared to the grey of the new one.
What do you think?

Hello, in principle Schlange said already all. Allthough both daggers have the same mm these different finishes do occur during the years of the period and are quite right and no necessary sign of a parts dagger. 2nd lufts have much less rules than armies in concern of parts/makers. Only few firms had 2nd luft "in house" parts but bought general parts or parts from other makers. Regards,
