Hi All,
Two west wall medals for review, first one I believe is the 1st type solid bronze, no maker mark and I think the ribbon is original, opinions please.
Many thanks, Andy.

This is the second one which is the zinc based type and the bronze finish is barely detectable and does not show at all in my pics due to lighting I also had to sharpen the focus a bit to show the more like it looks to the naked eye, no maker mark and the ribbon is a repro I think? Opinions please.
Many thanks Andy.

Does the first example you show have a dull grey base to the upper left facing rim?

I feel you are correct about the 2nd. medals ribbon.

Hi,
No I can't see a grey border to the medal I think it's the light in the photo, here are some pics of the edge with hopefully better light. I hope these show the finish and colour more accurately.

The medals are a nice strike. The detail on both is really sharp..
