We have been down for a while. During this time,,on Feb 3rd our member, friend , co Moderator, 'Odal' has passed away....

His real name is Goetz Abele and was from Germany.. He was a family man, a good, honest, dependable loving person... He was a policeman and so far no one is really sure of how he died..

I know we will ALL miss him very much .. He had the voice of reason here. He had a wonderful collection and did much study on the topic. He's helped me countless times doing translations for the book project.

Thank you so much Odal. All my love and respect go to you,,,,,Rest in peace brother...

May God bless your family and our condolences to them.....,Gaspare

Sad news, RIP. Such a young age. Appreciate every day and never sweat the petty stuff. Life is too short.

Although I have not known him in person I always appreciated his experienced and polite comments. A deep loss as human beeing and as collector. RIP, G?tz!

Saw this terrible news a couple of weeks ago on the WRF Ring Forum. Very sad. Goetz was a real gent and helped me out several times with his amazing knowledge. I was exchanging emails with him shortly before he died and nothing seemed amiss. He will be missed.

Goodbye my friend. Thank you for all your help. I will miss the online conversations we had. Condolences to the Abele family. I'm going to make something from the German cookbook he sent me in his honour. - Rob
