Hello,

I own the SA dagger for over 15 years now, once got
it as a present from my grandfather when I started
collecting german stuff. He got it from someone he knew
at his local pub who was in the resistance.

It was claimed to be an original one over 10 years ago
by someone who had a site about german daggers
(black background, big wooden SA dagger on the homepage)

The SS dagger was purchased by my neighbour on a local
garage sale. He wanted to offer it for sale but it's
claimed to be a fake.

Can someone shed any light on these two daggers?

Hi...in my opinion, both are spanish repros by Marto.

The size of the grip is exactly 5mm longer than original, the position of the bird is incorrect, should be a bit below, the grip is brown painted, etc etc etc

The add is about one year old, +1500 visits and not sold yet. I dont know the right price but EUR 300 is for sure too much.

it belongs to my neighbour and I have offered to buy it from him,
it would make a nice set with my SA dagger.

Just Google to find prices for Marto's.

Thanks but it has too much sentimental value to me, my grandfather died 10 years ago.
