I have a nice one too.
Grip is smooth and shiny, but NOT lacquered.
Good hunting,
Johnny

I have two Malsch and Ambronn SA daggers and this maker is known for very high quality work and excellent grips. But laquered examples??

Jim M they are both nice but the one on the right is exceptional, to me. The grip looks like a piece of furniture. My Otto Simon, has that same sharp contour look.
And Nakida, Yours is nice too!!, I see a reflection in the upper part of the grip because of the laquer. Great ones guys!! Larry

Malsch SA's usually have nice grips see pics, but not lacquered. Aescelap and Hacos tend to be though.
