Without making in moment a comparison with some others of this pattern from this pics i would say
wow!!
a killer.
Meanwhile very hard to get stuff and this is maybe the best condition ring of this pattern i have seen and i have handled some.
Congrats to this beauty! wink

Hi Odal and Mike,

many thanks for your reply and opinions.

Of course from the quality of camera angle, lighting, etc. Very much depends.
In other pictures, this ring seemed to you a fake.

Best regards,
Sergey

Taking pictures of rings is very hard. These are great pictures, so that is what we are going on... but even pictures can be deceiving! So hopefully, this is the great original it appears to be.. And with anything, especially if you're buying- there truly is something about having an item in hand... that is why estands and online dealers often work best under a brief inspection period. So many times I've bought (even recently) and found an item NOT as good as the one it appeared to be! This however looks like a great ring....thank you for the good pictures, .- congrats!!

Wait... what is the purpose of this thread? Is it solely to discredit or bring doubt upon the people offering their opinions? In fact, I don't recall seeing this ring either. Plus, I've never claimed at any point, ever, to be any expert. As far as the other guys here- especially Gaspare- (and all of us) we have no dogs in this fight. I don't know anyone more qualified than Gaspare to offer an opinion on rings like these, but he's only offering opinions- and not one person on the planet is infallible. The question here is self evident, and I mean no disrespect to anyone....but really, What's the motivation?

Oh, i think reason for this thread is the other thread about this Luft ring.
Sergey showed small pics of this ring and this "Gegen Engelland" ring and i offered to talk about this rings in
a own thread.

My statement refers to 'Militarynut'.

Here is his quote in the thread about the LW and West Wall rings:

you see the above posts by sergey and the outher poplop here we go again i am getting discusted but will not run from them nor thier garbage they are trying to have us say its period rings where they get them is beyond me well again they are not period rings both myself and odel told them they are not period rings but apparently our opinions fell on deaf ears these garbage rings that these two guys are putting up here and when odel and me tell sergey in a nice way that his luft ring is not period he pushes the button and puts up another fake copy ring to try to onfuse us well he aint confuseing me thats for sure he can put up one hundred fake rings and i will all ways call a spade a spade enough is enough time for you gaspare and dave to do somthing with this kind of behaveure before there is no more gdc ring forum enough is enough hope you big guys can help this cituation before its to late if any of the above guys want me to stop giving my honest opinions here then shalom i will go in peace thank you god bless andy militarynut

I think that Militarynut will see this thread and he will have something to say about this 'West Wall' ring.
Just to my regret in my last thread, he called this 'Garbage ring'. I think that next time he will be more cautious in the expressions.
Sorry, nothing personal, just to protect my West Wall ring:-)

Best regards,
Sergey

far from kicking andy of this forum, we should encourage his comments,he says it like it is. he has years of experience in the collecting of rings and imo has seen them all. constructive critism is a good thing. without him on this forum and his input I feel it would suffer.

Guys....this is a forum for rings.
So here is the place to discuss this stuff and not to discuss the members here.
Thanks!

He hasn't been nice to me either. He called me rude for just posting a photo a a couple rings. I don't know him so I don't want to say anything bad about him, but I don't understand why people get behind a computer screen and just try to start fights. I did notice by reading numerous other threads that he types out long mean comments and then ends them by saying thanks and god bless like he was just being nice all along. I just started on this forum but I think I will stick to war relics. It seems like this place is just a small club of 5 guys who say all their stuff is original and everyone else's is fake. I've read 30 threads and this pattern is easy to see. I will check out the daggers part of this forum, hopefully it is a little more friendly than the rings..

Still a short comment to this with my real not so good english.
New members are always welcome here.

To the theme fake or not fake.
In my experience a lot more than 90 % of the rings around are fake or fantasy.
So often unexperienced collectors buy or get fakes.
Nobody here is envious or wants to talk a ring bad.

Most people here are friendly and helpfull and don`t want to spend their spare time in useless fighting.
Only my 5 cent. wink

We are all here to learn
New members are always welcome
It is very nice to meet you mike
Check out the new members and introductions forum so all can meet you
What kind of rings do you like or want to collect
Apologies for the lack of punctuation
My device does not jive well with the text script programming
There is no elite club that I know of here or anywhere
Maybe in collecting fields there are I do not know
I do not think anyone here wants to just tear apart good rings
Expressing concern or doubt or opinion is what discussion forums are for
Insults have no place here or anywhere imho
If I have offended I truly apologize
Do you prefer theatre made pieces
Third Reich only
USA and campaign rings
What brought you in to ring collecting
Sorry no punctuation but those are all supposed to end in question marks
Best
Mike

Nice to meet you too Mike. To be honest I don't have many rings. They always catch my eye at shows though but it's just hard to pull the trigger with all the fakes. I collect anything from all sides WWII. I do have some nice US rings, they aren't worth much but at least I know they are real. I just picked up a very nice heavy silver US Navy ring that I like. I'm a big USAAF buff so eventually I would like a Luftwaffe ring to go along with the USAAF one I have which is why I posted the one from member Sergey, but it sold, and you guys didn't seem to like it anyways.

Hi mike
Not from Michigan but I have been there many times although I doubt that counts lol
That is a nice ring you have there
Heavy things arent they
We have a member here who loves the USA rings and has a hell of a collection lots of usaf as well
I have a nice airborne grouping here on some thread not sure where it is
I would agree a nice luft will round out an airborne or aviation ww2 collection very nicely
I might be selling mine and a number of others very soon in fact so i will pm if I get an itchy trigger finger
I think that USA rings are on the upturn of the wheel value wise especially if they are airborne or named or unit related to a more famous unit
There were quite a few at max so I say keep collecting them
I probably have around 100 or so USA myself and I like them too regardless of value
Its just cool to have some from your side imho
Thanks for sharing

yeah thats a nice Navy ring! U.S. rings [especially enamel WW2 vintage] are rapidly going up in value.

Get them while you can guys!
