With the straight belt clip, this appears to be a post 1945 example manufactured by Interarmco for use in Sudan. If I'm right, it's still a desirable piece but only worth about 10% of a pre 1945 piece.

The piece is ok, as probably the majority were found in czech republic, problem is the price.

Andy,
Am I wrong in mentioning the significance of the angled as opposed to the straight belt clip attachment? My previous understanding was that the straight belt clips were a feature only of post 1945 manufacture of this model.

Paul, Like many Solingen makers, some companies were more specialized, having a �core� business as to what they actually manufactured themselves (versus the �branding� of their logos on various items). In the case of Klaas, it seems that it was metal stamping. Also making ammunition components (during the war) in addition to the tool kits. With Eickhorn simply subcontracting to a specialist in that area. Best Regards, Fred
