I've been running through the forum trying to get familiar with cast marks. Does anyone have any photos of obvious cast marks? I think I am getting better but I would love to see more.

Lots of good examples if you take some time and research the threads. Lines, balls, and pits are all hallmarks of casting. There are problem areas for sure, but a casting flaw or evidence of casting can be anywhere. It's important to learn about and to understand because many early (mid and late too) repros were cast from originals. Keep studying, it will pay off for you! Best of luck- Mike/byz
