Neat dagger, Ivan

This is a Pack maker mark I haven't seen before. ..maybe a relative or a predecessor to Ernst?

John, I have the same maker mark on my Prussian Auto Corps Dagger, so prior to WWI.

The company is Pack Ohliger & Co, and I believe it pre dated Ernst Pack, but some people think it was a subsidiary.

Yep, changed over in the 20s....
When the Industry directory for Solingen was printed in 1922 (have a few of them sold one to Ivan) they added a sticker label over the old (Pack Ohliger) company to the new Ernst Pack and Sohne.
This information is also in Anthony Carters book (German Knife and Sword Makers) Always for sale on e-bay and by me.. smile
So a must have book guys...
Regards: James

Your Welcome Ivan, it was my pleasure!
It landed in the collection where it should be.
It has a fantastic grip, the eagle realy seems to scream at you.
