My spiritual adviser and the greatest expert on SA daggers is on the lookout for this dagger for me, but i thought i would supplement hisw search with a post on the forum. Looking for a decent early Hack SA dagger to replace the one I have, which is pretty rough.

Dave:
Josef Hack is a rare producer of SA's under the maker mark Hack-Werk Steyr.
I have two Luft2s by that maker.

John,
Agree, they did make Luftwaffe daggers after Austria became part of Germany in 1938. Perhaps Army as well.
But they were not a maker of early, trademarked, SA daggers. Those stopped in 1936 or so.

They made a transitional SA, and later an RZM SA, but I don't think that is what Mike is looking for

John
Here is another shot of that first trademark, from another I took apart. If you need other component shots from that piece I can send them.
I thought I had pics of an Army Hack, but maybe not. Do you?

Dave:
I have both versions you show on Luft2s (I collect Luft2s by maker mark variation). Both versions came from Bob Rodgers about 5 years ago.

BTW, Dave, you show the TM of RZM 7/104, which is Zeitler Wien, whereas Hack is RZM 7/103.
