Ivan I don't think they have ever been a real SS dagger on ebay since I have been looking , I can't believe all the disappointed people paying good money for Crap . If I ever do buy a SS dagger it will be from reliable people like is on this forum or a reputable dealer. smile

IMHO any military antique listed on eBay should have a big red flag, love all the pristine Samurai swords etc that some how ended up in China.

Krikke I hear you I wouldn't buy any German Dagger on ebay , Too Many scammers and it is a shame for them taking money for fakes and advertising they are real. I have worked to hard for my money to give it to some low lives . I have been learning some off from the forum. Bob

Both JR Meda and Lakesidetrader have some great stuff in at their sites...if it wasn't for friggin' xmas next month there would be a big dent in my credit card! Meda has a beautiful Navy I'm drooling over and Lakesidetrader has a fantastic 2nd Luft I want so bad that I'm willing to sell my soul for.... smile

But yeah, a lot of junk on EBAY. that said, I have bought a few bayonets (cant really go wrong with those) and real decent Weimar period Naval sword off of EBAY, but you have to know what you are looking at. GUNBROKER is a mine field too, so be careful. As the guys said, buy books, then buy more books, and when you are done with those books, buy more books. Well worth it in the long run. Happy hunting!!

Yea I know about Gunbroker also , I am really watching my step right now. Yea Lakeside Trader has some nice Daggers.

Man when I was Motel buying back in the 70's a guy came in and Had two complete Mint condition 2nd Model Navy Daggers with belts and everything. I wanted them bad Made him the best offer I could don't remember exactly was it was 40 years ago, He Just sort of Smiled at me. Found out he was a retired Maj General LOL Sad people needs money don't have anything worth buying most of the time and the ones that don't need money has the good stuff.:)
