I honestly can't say for sure. I have never seen one of these, but I would note that since they are so rare, I would be very skeptical. Cheers, -Mike

Even rare on a lowly old fireman helmet? looks like a lucky shot if real then. So what you are really saying is you dont know, only that it is rare so its got to be fake??

being so rare doesnt make it fake, but on a firemans helmet i think it is problematic,,,

As I noted, I have never seen one of these before. I have seen drawings of this type decal and I am certain they did exist, but probably not in large numbers. Since it is a rare type, and if you are considering a purchase, be certain you get an evaluation and a right to return within a reasonable time should it prove to be bad. You might consider posting on other fora that are more specific to helmets (such as GHW) - I am sure they can sort this one out fairly quickly. All that said - I am still skeptical, but hope for your sake that you have struck gold! Best wishes, -Mike

GHW = German Helmet Walhalla which is at www.walhalla.se You must register and make a number of posts before you can post photos. It is a very active forum which, as the name implies, specializes in helmets. Cheers, -Mik
