Using the images as a starting point, with a possible minor repair to one of the connector links, it looks to be period to me as well. From the the 4th last/final production series. Best Regards, Fred

Yes, looks good to me as well. The copper eagle is a nice touch.

A repaired link or two is almost to be expected on one these. The links were fragile.

Note the sligtly-too-large grip that was discussed here recently.

Grips like this are sometimes seen on daggers, especially the M36. not a problem in my opinion.

Dave has put up the link to the discussion on larger grips. The example shown on that thread also has a copper eagle, and several similar features to the one you are considering. They might even be from the same production run.
