Hello gents , unfortunately this dagger with a Sw Gau mark and a pretty tiger wood grip has been "lost" between the Germany and my home by the carrier What is stressing me strongly is the fact that a *shark* is the indue owner of such a rare piece (not mentionning also the lost of 500 ...) S+

How did you ask for it to be sent to you? Did you use the government postal services?
Always looking for Eickhorns and etched bayonets.

No JohnZ , the german seller used HERMES which gave the parcel to the french MONDIA RELAY for the final delivery .
The last carrier recognizes the loss but in spite of documents from the seller are not making the money refund ...
Bad story ! !

Damn! Hopefully it'll still show up. I had stuff from the UK shipped to Canada with tracking but it never showed on the Canada post tracking or international tracking. After two months it just showed up...

Postal thieves have a green light to steal whatever they want and all's the post office tells you is you can get your money back if insured.
I spoke to numerous usps operators who stated it cost them far more to investigate the thievery than it does to just pay out for loss on insured parcels. So obviously they're just fine with it. All this while their recorded message tells you how secure and safe registered mail is while your on hold.
From my experiences registered mail goes missing just as much if not more.
Sorry for the loss and terrible for sure.

I had an SS dagger lost between the German postal service and U.S. Registered mail. I got $15 from the U.S. Post Office as that is the maximum they would reimburse for registered mail. It seems that the seller packaged up dry ice and wrapped it well so it weighed in right but the dry ice evaporated and my local postman was at my door when I opened the package and saw nothing but air. Some forgotten German seller really stole from me.
