Because there's money in it Gottlieb that's why.

I see some groups filming there digs now to prove the finds (not just photos of a muddy articles next to a detector, rolls eyes).

Even then we have all heard of 'planted' finds.

What a notorious hobbie this is becoming.

Well, it's probably always had its fair share of crooks and fakes- hard to tell on this one for me, Gaspare said the same about digging and worse... Plus now we have CG out desecrating graves. Guys, good thoughts for Gaspare by the way- I haven't heard from him since the storm and I know his home was at risk of being delved rated again,,,,

I think if throw away paranoia and idea about "planted" fields such rings can have a chance. I know, that this ring is ugly, but good and found by good guy in good place with other stuff. But we live in cruel world where this is not a strong evidence. Because most collect standart rings and follow the standarts. I see no problems with this ring - only heavy worn condition. Also I think that this ring was burned.

Latvians are too greedy and lazy to plant fake items (What for?) in those areas. Almost all finds stays in Latvia, because diggers are too old for computers and internet smile

this ring is old,,just not WW2 old..

Planted fields are true. I've seen them first hand.. My wifes cousins were early diggers in the early 90s.

They worked hard getting maps, researching, checking etc. They would dig and find. Sometimes when they would leave other diggers,,[the lazy ones] would go to their old spots to get the ******** they left behind and dig / destroy close by areas.

SO,,the cousins would leave reproduction SS buckles, dog tags, rings etc. and throw them in the dirt when they would restore the area. They did this just to mess up the lazy diggers. Meanwhile,,these diggers would swear to God their pieces were good,,they had to be,,,they dug them themselves!!
