I would like to share with you my first purchase of the year.
I've bought a rare slant big Tiger marked early army dagger with tapered tang from an auction house in Europe.
I was very happy with it until it had arrived. When I opened the parcel I noticed that the pommel is missing...
I contacted the seller but he/she informed me they can not find it anywhere.
So I am afraid I have to send it back and ask for a refund.
Not a very lucky start of the year...

Almost forgot to say: the pommel is marked "26" on the top - see photos.

Hope you enjoy - I'm not really. mad

How could they send you a dagger which was obviously missing the pommel? Looks like a very interesting dagger with a lot of character, I'd hate to have to send it back too!

That is a damn shame you have to send it back, it's a really nice army with a fantastic grip.

Oh My....janos sorry about that terrible situation. At least they are willing to take it back. I have seen the stamped numbers on grips before seems especially on the WKC product.

Thanks guys,
I feel the same... I hate to send it back.

I have a slant Tiger with PACK xguard, I had one with the initial WKC guard, with normal (non-slant) grip.

And now I have found finally one with WKC guard AND slant grip - and the pommel has disappeared in the auction house...
I am still hoping.

Tom,
I agree, I had an initial production WKC dagger, numbered same style on the grip. For me it is a typical WKC "sign" too.

This story is a tragedy.

I would make the auction team search from top to bottom for that pommel before you return such a great dagger. Did the original catalog photos not show it with a pommel?
